Hatha Yoga

Yoga is a discipline with a centuries-old history that great yogin masters have structured and handed down over time. A lesson consists of a series of sequences of Asanas (codified yoga postures) arranged in a particular way according to a specific theme. Asanas were created for therapeutic purposes as they stimulate, activate and heal certain energy centres in our bodies. These centres are described by oriental medicine and are part of the anatomical view of so-called 'subtle' physiology, which is different from the 'gross' anatomical view that historically permeates and characterises western science. In general, the ultimate aim of each sequence is to maintain concentration on the present moment, on the sensations of the body and on the observation of the emotional and mental states that arise, making the experience comparable to a 'meditation in motion'.

Hatha Yoga in the Himalayan tradition

The Hatha Yoga course leads, through a practical, systematic and scientific path, to the knowledge of Yoga, an ancient discipline originating in India and handed down from master to pupil to the present day. It is suitable for all ages regardless of gender, social status and cultural background. During the meetings we receive teachings on Asana (body postures) and pranayama (breath practices), relaxation practices, according to the millenary tradition of Himalayan Yogis. In the Hatha Yoga session great attention is given to the postures: each movement is done in a conscious manner, the breath is fluid, the mind is calmed, alternating moments of relaxation between one posture and the next. In an age of stress, the regular practice of Hatha Yoga improves the psychophysical condition, bringing a wave of beneficial energy. The mind becomes more lucid, creative, intuitive and able to manage emotions, without repressing them. Hatha Yoga techniques develop flexibility, balance in body and mind, and improve awareness.

Karate Adults

Kyokushinkai Karate allows those who practise it to achieve a harmonious balance between body and mind. The great richness of the technical baggage offered by the practice of this discipline in fact includes, in addition to the classic psychomotor preparatory exercises, also and above all individual exercises (Kihon and Kata) and in pairs (Kumite). The former teach how to make the most of one's own body's potential and allow him to gain self-confidence thanks to the continuous overcoming of what he considered his own limit. With the pair and group exercises, one learns how to manage interpersonal relationships, to recognise in one's partner and in the group terms of comparison and consequently to foster within oneself a healthy spirit of competition in an atmosphere of friendship and deep respect.

Pilates

Pilates is a discipline developed in the last century by Joseph Pilates, who aimed to create a training system with fluid movements that could shape the entire body as a whole. A class is based on principles such as concentration, breathing, core activation, control, precision and fluidity of movement. In Pilates Matwork, the work takes place on the mat and the student experiences a deeper training of the muscles, working strength and endurance at the same time.

Dance & Stretch

Dance&Stretch is a musical fitness class combining cardio training, coordination, muscle toning and dynamic stretching. During the 45-minute class we will increase strength, lung capacity and flexibility. We will stimulate endorphins, train the heart and prevent cardio-vascular diseases, and rediscover the joy of movement! Keeping fit and healthy has never been so much fun!

Postural Gymnastics

Group lessons in which we develop awareness of our bodies through simple and complex movements that are part of our everyday life. Everyone is invited to explore their own possibilities of movement, bringing to light their own limits and resources. The aim is to integrate the components of one's movement, making it more fluid and functional, and defusing harmful postural habits. Mariangela Varotto: physiotherapist trained in the Back School method and the Mezieres method, with solid experience in managing groups in both preventive and rehabilitative settings.
